The short version
The data you type into a tool on this site (invoice details, client names, rates, etc.) is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers. We don't require an account, and we don't store your tool data ourselves. What follows covers the parts of the site that do involve outside services: analytics and advertising.
Tool data
Every tool on this site (invoice generator, quote generator, rate calculator, and future tools) runs client-side. Anything you enter is either kept only in memory or saved to your browser's local storage so your progress survives a page refresh -- it is never transmitted to us or any third party as part of using the tool. Clearing your browser's site data removes it completely.
Analytics
We use (or intend to use) Google Analytics to understand overall site usage -- which pages are visited, how people found the site, and general device/browser information. This is aggregate, not tied to your tool data, and only loads if you accept cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. You can see how Google handles this data in Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising
This site is (or will be) supported in part by Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and only loads if you accept cookies via the banner. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or generally at aboutads.info. We may also, in the future, include affiliate links to third-party products relevant to freelancers -- any such link will be clearly disclosed on the page it appears on.
Cookies
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google AdSense may set cookies in your browser as described above. If you reject or ignore the banner, neither loads, and no analytics or advertising cookies are set by us. You can change your browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If how this site handles data changes materially, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date.
